It has been almost a year since I posted here! So many times I've thought about writing about our "singleton" adventures, and there have been many, but alas, I have not.

Until tonight. Men. Ugh. Just when you think you've had a fun date, the first in a long time. And in the end, it still was a fun date. However, thanks to the beauty (or the ugly truth!) of the Internet...the evening was tarnished, less than 24 hours later.

It all began December 31st, 2008. New Year's Eve. Dancing. A tap on the shoulder. More dancing. Longing looks. A midnight kiss. Numbers exchanged. Phone calls. Texts. For two weeks. Finally, meet again. A date. Fun. Drinks. Dinner. Good conversation. Age difference. Yes. 10 years. Or so I thought. "Cougar?" Yes. But it's not 10 years. Facebook. Truth revealed. Not 10 years. 13 years! But in the scheme of things, what's another 3 years?! That's not the point. Lies. Why? He said he thought it would give him a better chance...for what...Yes, chances are, if I knew he was that much younger, I would not have given him that first date. Can you blame the guy??

Again. Men. Ugh. Life moves on. New Year. New date tomorrow. Stay tuned...

Single in the City

So...here goes...we're just checking out this whole "blog" thing...will anyone read it, will anyone stop by, will anyone care??

My friend and I have always said we should write a book about our "singleton" adventures. Well, we decided to try out a more technologically-advanced version of a "book" instead!

We have no idea where this is going...if anywhere! I guess our main goal is just to share our stories, the good, the bad and the ugly! Stories about the single life, the city we live in, the men, our daily lives, whatever it is that's on our hearts and minds at any given time. And maybe, just maybe, there will be others out there with similar stories who will appreciate ours, who will want to share theirs with us and others.

So...here goes nothing! Check back soon...when we figure out what it is we're doing here (that's "here" as in - here on this blog and here in life in general!).
